Police are investigating following the shooting of a man in Petrie last night.
Just after midnight police and emergency services were called to a unit block on Young Street following reports that a man had been shot.
On arrival a man was found with a serious gunshot wound to his chest.
Emergency services provided assistance to the man at the scene and he was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
A crime scene has been declared at the Young Street address and investigations into the incident are continuing.
