Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a bicycle and car collided at Miami this afternoon.
Preliminary investigations indicate about 7.20pm a grey Volkswagen Golf was travelling southbound on the Gold Coast Highway when it has collided with a bicycle.
The rider of the bicycle, a 35-year-old local man has been transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or people with dashcam of the bicycle or car prior to the incident to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
