Boaties rescued off Gladstone

Two men are recovering after spending a night clinging to their boat in waters off Gladstone on Friday night.
The pair arranged to have fuel taken to them after their vessel ran out of petrol on Friday afternoon.
During Friday evening, the boat capsized and overturned south of Rock Cod Shoal, about 20 kilometres east of Gladstone.
The Volunteer Marine Rescue (VMR) assisted police in the rescue operation and the two men were found clinging to the hull of their boat around 10.30am on Saturday morning.
The pair suffered only minor injuries.
Around 11.40am on Saturday, Water Police were called to Lamont Reef where an EPIRB was activated after a vessel experienced mechanical issues.
The master was suffering chest pains and severe seasickness and required urgent medical assistance.
Water Police located the vessel after receiving information from a private seaplane which assisted in the search.
The two men were rescued from the boat and taken back Gladstone Marina
