Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred at Eumundi this afternoon.
Initial investigations indicate at about 3.15pm, a Mazda travelling east on Eumundi-Noosa Road and a Toyota Prado travelling west collided causing the Mazda to run off the road and down an embankment.
The 44-year-old male driver of the Mazda was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing to any members of the public who witnessed the incident or who have relevant dash-cam footage to contact police.
