A male Senior Constable sustained a serious hand injury at Kelso today.
Preliminary information indicates police were in the process of arresting a man at around 1.50pm in Riverway Drive when the injury occurred.
The officer has been transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested a 29-year-old man at the scene.
