Armed robbery, Southport

Police have charged two boys following investigations into an alleged armed robbery in Southport yesterday afternoon.
It will be alleged at 4.20pm, a 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old woman were approached by a group of youths on Queen Street who demanded their shoes and jackets.
One of the boys in the group was allegedly armed with a knife and used it to threaten the two females.
It will be further alleged the group left on foot with the stolen shoes and jackets.
No-one was physically injured.
Two boys were located a short time later.
The boys both aged 14 have been charged with two counts each of armed robbery.
Investigations are continuing.
