Detectives the from Mackay Criminal Investigation Branch, working with first response officers and the Dog Squad, yesterday located and arrested two men in bushland in the Bakers Creek area.
Police were searching for the men following a series of offences including the alleged attempted armed robbery of a Kay Court, Mount Pleasant fast food restaurant around 8pm on June 21 and the alleged attempted break and enter of a Padget gun shop overnight on Friday.
Acting on information, police conducted a systemic search of the bushland at Bakers Creek, during which they located the two men and two allegedly stolen quad bikes around 2.40pm.
Subsequent investigations have led to both men being charged with number of offences.
