Drug charges, Urraween

Detectives from Maryborough Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have uncovered an alleged cannabis ‘grow house’ during a search of a property at Urraween this morning.
A crime scene was declared at the Julie Anne Street premises around 9am after officers discovered equipment and chemicals allegedly being used in the production of cannabis.
Officers located a sophisticated setup within the structure including a large amount of cannabis, plants and chemicals used in connection with the production of cannabis have been seized.
A 52-year-old Urraween woman has been charged with one count each of produce dangerous drugs, possess dangerous drugs, unlawful taking of electricity, two counts each of possess property suspected of being used in the commission of a crime and possess anything used in the commission of a crime.
She is expected to appear in the Maryborough Magistrates Court on August 16.
Investigations into the illicit laboratory are continuing.
