A man has been charged with a string of serious offences after a number of police cars were allegedly rammed with a stolen vehicle in Toowoomba yesterday.
It will be alleged that on September 12 a man attempted to steal a car at knifepoint on Astor Terrace in Spring Hill, however the 39-year-old male driver managed to escape unharmed in his vehicle.
It is further alleged that the same man threatened an 80-year-old woman with a knife on Wickham Terrace in Spring Hill on September 13 before stealing her brown Mercedes Benz.
On September 16 police observed the stolen Mercedes parked on Primrose Parade in Wynnum West and approached the male driver.
The man then allegedly drove into the parked police vehicle before fleeing the scene.
It is further alleged that on September 16 around 5.40pm, Toowoomba police saw the same stolen Mercedes parked at the rear of a Newtown shopping centre.
