Police are investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred in Newstead earlier today.
At 5.30pm, a motorcycle was travelling on Breakfast Creek Road when it struck a gutter and the rider was thrown into a traffic light pole.
The 27-year-old man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition and his injures are believed to be life threatening.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area and may have dash cam to contact police.
Investigations are continuing.
