Two boys charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, Condon

Police have charged two boys with unlawful use of a motor vehicle after an alleged stolen vehicle collided with a police vehicle at Condon this morning.
Around 7am police were conducting routine patrols in Condon when they turned from Cassowary Court and into Curlew Street and into the path of a 4WD allegedly speeding, driving erratically and swerving onto the wrong side of the road.
Police attempted to take evasive action however the 4WD collided with the rear of the police car before it sped off.
It was located abandoned a short time later in a nearby alleyway after crashing.
Police cordons were put in place and patrols commenced, including patrols by the dog squad who subsequently located two boys in Pelican Avenue, Condon. Both boys were taken into custody without incident.
