Police bust alleged drug trafficking syndicate in South Brisbane

Police have charged 22 people as part of an operation targeting a drug trafficking syndicate operating in the South Brisbane District.
Detectives from Upper Mount Gravatt CIB and South Brisbane Tactical Crime Squads executed 21 search warrants over a 3-day period as part of Operation Quebec Paddle which ran from February 4 to 6.
During the three-day operation, 22 people were arrested on 130 charges ranging from drug trafficking, drug supply, drug possession, possession of firearms and possession of stolen property.
Police will allege quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine were located during the execution of the search warrants, as were cash, firearms and stolen property.
Officer in charge of the Upper Mount Gravatt Tactical Crime Squad, Senior Sergeant Murray Cumner said the outcome of Operation Quebec Paddle is a great result for the community.
