Police have charged a man following an alleged road-rage incident at Southport on Monday, February 11.
Around 9.17am, a 39-year-old man was driving south along Olsen Avenue, approaching the intersection of Crestwood Drive, when it’s alleged he was cut-off by another vehicle.
The two vehicles have then stopped for a red-light at the intersection, where it’s alleged a man exited his vehicle and approached the 39-year-old’s driver’s-side window, where they engaged in a verbal altercation. The light turned green and the man returned to his car.
The two vehicles drove for approximately 100 metres, before the man allegedly stopped his vehicle in the moving lane, forcing the 39-year-old to come to a halt behind him.
It’s alleged that the driver again approached the 39-year-old’s vehicle and engaged in a second verbal altercation, before attempting to break his side-mirror and reaching inside the vehicle, stealing his dash-camera. The man has then run back to his
