Police have charged 40 people following a day of action targeting drug and property offences across the Gold Coast District.
Detectives from the Gold Coast CIB, supported by members of the Gold Coast Rapid Action and Patrols group (RAP), executed 28 search warrants at Varsity Lakes, Tugun, Burleigh, Burleigh Waters, Currumbin, Palm Beach, Currumbin Waters, Chevron Island, Labrador, Ashmore, Southport, Coomera, Upper Coomera, Oxenford, Holmview, Ormeau and Pimpama this morning.
It will be alleged that the operation resulted in the location and seizure of a significant quantity of dangerous drugs, including; methylamphetamines (Ice), cocaine, cannabis, and steroids.
Police also allegedly located a stolen motorcycle, stolen watches, stolen diamonds, weapons (knuckledusters, a shorten shotgun and an electrical antipersonnel device), fireworks and other suspected stolen property and drug paraphernalia.
40 people have now been charged on 113 offences, including; break and enter, supplying dangerous drugs, producing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of weapons, stealing,
