Update: Impersonating a police officer, Gold Coast

Gold Coast police have charged a 17-year-old boy following investigations into a number of offences, including impersonating a police officer within the Gold Coast area in the past month.
It will be alleged a Subaru was stolen from an address in Reedy Creek on April 5 and was involved in a number of dangerous driving offences throughout the Mudgeeraba and Gold Coast areas between April 25 and May 5.
Police will further allege the driver of the vehicle was seen on April 16 on the Pacific Motorway in Carrara wearing a police cap and attempting to pull-over another vehicle.
Officers were called to Majtlis Place in Worongary around 8.30am yesterday morning following reports of a person sleeping in the stolen Subaru.
It will be alleged when officers attended the Subaru reversed into a police car, before driving forward into another police car and then colliding with a tree.
