Police have released vision of two men who crashed a stolen vehicle into a shopping complex before trying to steal an ATM at Regents Park overnight.
Around 3.40am, a man reversed a stolen red 2012 Nissan Navara utility through the closed glass entrance doors on the eastern side of a shopping centre on the Mount Lindesay Highway.
He and another man then exited the vehicle and connected a strap to a free-standing ATM inside the building, before accelerating forward in an attempt to dislodge the machine.
The strap broke prompting the offenders to reverse the vehicle into the machine, causing it to topple over. The men then attached the strap to the machine again and attempted to tow the machine from the premises but were unable to, leaving the ATM on the ground and fleeing in an unknown direction.
Minutes later, the abandoned vehicle was located burnt-out on Bayliss Road at Heritage Park.
