PLO’s recognised at 2018 Ambassador of Peace Awards

On Wednesday, August 22, three QPS Police Liaison Officers (PLO) were awarded the Ambassador for Peace Award presented by Commissioner Ian Stewart and Mr Steve Evans chair of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Queensland at a ceremony at Police Headquarters.
The Universal Peace Federation acknowledges individuals whose lives exemplify the ideal of living for the sake of others, and who dedicate themselves to practices of reconciliation, overcoming barriers, and building peace within their communities.
Senior PLO Moira Davis from Brisbane City Station, PLO Jasyiyah Abul Kadir from Broadbeach Police Station and PLO Goomblar Shillingsworth from Hervey Bay Police Station, were officially recognised for their hard work and dedication to their communities.
