Two people have died following a two-vehicle traffic crash at South Isis this afternoon.
Initial information indicates around 1pm, two cars collided on the Bruce Highway at the intersection of Ross Camp Road, 5kms south of Childers.
A passenger from one of the cars, an eight-year-old girl, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The male driver and sole occupant of the second car was also pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Bruce Highway remains closed however diversions are in place. Minor traffic delays are being experienced, and motorists are requested to be patient.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
