Update: Fatal crash, Oxenford

Police have charged an 18-year-old man over a two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a teenage boy at Oxenford in May this year.
It will be alleged that around 3.30pm on Sunday, May 20 a sedan and utility travelling in opposite directions of Tamborine Oxenford Road collided.
A 15-year-old Oxenford boy – the rear driver’s-side passenger of the sedan – was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the sedan was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with critical injuries.
The other two passengers of the sedan and all three occupants of the utility sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for precautionary checks.
Following a protracted investigation by the Forensic Crash Unit, an 18-year-old Coomera man has now been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on January
