Police investigating a wounding incident that occurred at Miami yesterday evening have charged a man.
It will be alleged at about 11pm, two men at an address in Mountain View Avenue became involved in a physical altercation.
As a result of the incident, one of the men allegedly received a number of stab wounds to his back, stomach and leg.
The injured man was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
The two men are known to each other.
A 44-year-old Miami man has been charged with wounding (domestic violence offence).
He has been remanded in custody to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on January 11, 2019.
