Police investigating a three vehicle crash that occurred on the Pacific Motorway at Slacks Creek (it was also referred to as Tanah Merah) this afternoon are appealing for witnesses.
The three car nose to tail collision occurred around 3.30pm in the northbound lanes and resulted in three people being transported to hospital.
A 17-year-old woman from Waterford, the driver of one of the vehicles, received serious injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Two boys in her vehicle – a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old were also injured and transported to Queensland Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
All three were trapped for a period of time before being extracted from the vehicle and transported to hospital.
A 38-year-old woman from Waterford, also a passenger in the vehicle was not seriously injured.
The drivers of the two other vehicles – a 37-year-old man from Slacks Creek and a 35-year-old man from Eagleby were not injured.
