Police are appealing for public assistance after a man had his car stolen early this morning in Kingston.
At 2.45am, two men requested a ride on a ride sharing app from Underwood into the Brisbane City.
As the driver was driving the men through Kingston, one of the men made demands for his wallet and phone before assaulting him on Alice Street.
The driver then fled the vehicle and was chased by one of the men, while the other man drove the car towards him, forcing him out of the way.
The pair then drove the man’s car from the scene and the man sought assistance from a local resident who contacted police.
He was treated for minor injuries as a result of the incident.
The two men are described as Aboriginal in appearance and were believed to be aged in their 30s or 40s.
