Police have charged two teenagers after they allegedly threatened a 30-year-old woman and 17-year-old teenager with a knife and stole their car at Southport this afternoon.
It will be alleged at 5.50pm the two female friends parked their car at a shopping centre on Marine Parade. A teenage boy approached the driver as she got out of the Mazda 3 and threatened her with a knife, demanding her keys. A teenage girl approached the female passenger and demanded her phone. Both complied, and the teenagers left the shopping centre car park in the stolen Mazda. The women immediately rang police.
Police observed the stolen vehicle heading south on the Gold Coast Highway and POLAIR began to track the vehicle at 6.08pm on Nerang-Southport Road.
It will be further alleged the vehicle headed northbound on the Pacific Motorway at Nerang and continued into the Brisbane CBD where the vehicle was monitored by POLAIR before
