Gold Coast police would like to remind motorists of upcoming road closures due to the 2019 Groundwater Country Music Festival being held at Broadbeach.
The event will be held over three days, from Friday July 26 to Sunday July 28, with more than 65,000 spectators expected to attend this year’s event.
Police have been working with event organisers and stakeholders to ensure the music festival is conducted safely and with minimum disruption to traffic.
Motorists are advised that travelling anywhere near the Broadbeach CBD area during the event may result in delays due to the diversions that will be in place.
Major Events Group Inspector Troy Penrose said police will be present during the three-day event.
“Officers will be out and about to ensure the public’s safety and minimal disruption to local residents and businesses.”
