Closure of Operation Romeo Concourse, Gold Coast District

Police have charged six men following the closure of ‘Operation Romeo Concourse’ yesterday; a three-month effort targeting the trafficking of dangerous drugs on the Gold Coast from May 8 to August 16 this year.
As part of the culmination of the operation, around 2.30pm yesterday a 20-year-old Southport man’s vehicle was intercepted on Stanhill Drive at Chevron Island. A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered approximately 195 grams of cannabis, $690 cash and a mobile phone.
Upon the 20-year-old man’s arrest, a search warrant was simultaneously executed at a 28-year-old Arundel man’s address at Bosun Parade, where officers allegedly uncovered approximately 440 grams of cannabis, $1800 cash, a heat sealer, drug utensils, seven mobile phones and other evidence to indicate the trafficking of dangerous drugs.
Subsequent investigations lead to the arrest of four additional men who attended the Arundel address.
