Police have arrested seven people following protest activity in the Brisbane CBD today.
The people, ranging in age from 17 to 67, will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on a range of charges including endangering safety of persons travelling by railway, obstruct police and contravene direction or requirement.
At around 8.00am officers conducting proactive patrol of the city located a vehicle on Roma Street allegedly carrying a number of lock-on and protest devices.
A 23-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were taken into custody at the scene.
Around 8.30am, police were called to Bowen Hills Railway Station after reports a man had chained himself to the tracks.
Trains were stopped immediately whilst specialist police removed the man and cleared the tracks before taking the man into custody around 9am.
A 54-year-old man from Woody Point has been charged with one count each of endangering safety of persons travelling by railway, contravene direction or requirement and initiation
