Drowning, Robina

Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a man drowned at Robina today.
Around 11.20am, police received a report that a man had allegedly tried to break into a home on Blakehurst Place, when he was disturbed and subsequently jumped into a lake. That witness told police that he had seen the man submerge and fail to resurface.
Police attended the scene where officers conducted an extensive air, land and water search.
Police divers located the man deceased underwater in the vicinity of Narrabeen Court around 1.30pm.
Investigations continue to establish the man’s identity. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
