Pursuit of stolen vehicle, Sunshine Coast

Two boys have been arrested after a stolen ute rammed a number of police cars on the Sunshine Coast this afternoon.
Police attended Mooloolah Valley just after 1.20pm following sightings of a white Ford Ranger in the area that had been stolen from Maroochydore on April 9.
Officers attempted to intercept the vehicle however it allegedly drove away at high speed.
Police followed the Ranger as it travelled along Steve Irwin Way toward Caloundra, at times crossing onto the incorrect side of the road at speed.
As the vehicle travelled onto Kawana Way around 1.30pm officers deployed a tyre deflation device, however the Ranger rammed a police car and fled the area.
It is further alleged that the damaged stolen vehicle then rammed a police motorcycle in the Creekside area, causing minor injury to the officer’s leg as he was forced to take evasive action.
The Ranger continued to travel into the back streets of Kawana
