Detectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch have charged four people on 15 offences after a search warrant at a Mermaid Waters unit allegedly uncovered dangerous drugs, a firearm and stolen property.
It will be alleged the warrant, which took place at an Alexandra Avenue address, located 160 grams of Methylamphetamine, a shortened .22 calibre rifle, Cannabis, GHB, MDMA and a quantity of stolen property.
A 35-year-old man was charged with trafficking dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine), possess dangerous drugs (cannabis), possess dangerous drugs (gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid), possess dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine), possess utensils, unlawful possession of a weapon (shortened rifle) and authority required to possess explosives (ammunition).
He was refused bail and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court today (June 27).
A 33-year-old woman was charged with fraud, possess utensils and receiving tainted property.
