Drug and firearm charges, Labrador

Gold Coast police have charged a 38-year-old Labrador man with multiple drug and firearm offences.
Just before 12.30am this morning (July 2) police noticed the man leaving an apartment complex on Frank Street, Labrador, walking with another man.
After stopping and speaking with the two men, police will allege they located a shortened firearm, ammunition and a flick knife, along with a quantity of methylamphetamine, prescription medication, cannabis and drug utensils on the 38-year-old.
He was arrested and later charged with four counts of possessing dangerous drugs, two counts of unlawful possession of weapons, and one count each of authority required to possess explosives, possess shortened firearms and possess property suspected of having been used in the connection with a drug offence.
He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
