The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has issued a 64-year-old man with a Notice to Appear (NTA) in court following investigations into a vessel which travelled from Victoria to Queensland last month.
The manager of the vessel was today issued with the NTA with police alleging the man breached the Public Health Act by providing false information to an emergency officer.
The vessel arrived at Coomera with seven people on board on August 25 after having previously travelled from New South Wales and Victoria.
The man is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on September 11.
A penalty infringement notice previously issued to the man has since been withdrawn.
The matter is also being investigated by New South Wales Police Force.

Update 1: Fatal traffic crash, Toowoomba
A 17-year-old girl has been charged in relation to a fatal traffic crash in Toowoomba on February 25.
The girl has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
The girl appeared in the Toowoomba Children’s Court yesterday and will reappear at a later date.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a three-vehicle crash at Toowoomba this afternoon.
Approximately 1.40pm, a motor bike was travelling north towards Toowoomba on the New England Highway.
A utility was waiting to turn right onto Opportunity Drive, when it was struck from behind by a station wagon, propelling the utility into the path of the oncoming motor bike.
The rider, a 53-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Highfields Police Station and Newtown Police Facility officially opened
Minister for Police and Minister for Corrective Services, the Honourable Mark Ryan MP joined Commissioner Katarina Carroll for the official opening of the new Highfields Police Station and Newtown Police Facility.
Having been completed and operational since June this year, the new station at Highfields is bringing an increased level of service to the growing area north of Toowoomba.
The Highfields Police Station has seven officers attached to it, made up of an officer in charge and six senior constables/constables and has been built to cater for future expansion.

Commissioner Carroll said the new station and its associated facilities are a great asset to support police officers in servicing the Highfields policing division.

Marine incident, Gladstone
A man has died, and another man rescued following a marine incident near Gladstone overnight.
Around 8.19pm police were called to the Awonga Dam to reports two men were thrown from a boat into the water.
A search by Water Police, helicopter and other local resources including SES located a 42-year-old man floating and pulled him to safety.
He was taken to Gladstone Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Sadly, a 68-year-old man was located deceased a short time later.
Investigations continue as a report is prepared for the Coroner.

Wounding – Surfers Paradise
Police have charged a 37-year-old woman in relation to the alleged stabbing of a 17-year-old man in Surfers Paradise in the early hours of this morning.
Around 2.35am a disturbance involving a large number of people occurred on The Esplanade.
During the incident it is alleged a woman produced a knife and stabbed a male involved in the altercation.
The woman fled the scene but police located her shortly after in a nearby hotel.
The injured man was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with a suspected punctured lung.
A 37-year-old Boronia Heights woman has been charged with wounding and grievous bodily harm.
She is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.

Fatal traffic crash, Cooktown
A 38-year-old Cooktown man has died following a single vehicle crash yesterday evening (September 2).
Just before 7.30pm, early investigations suggest the man was travelling in his vehicle when he lost control of the car while travelling south on Endeavour Valley Road.
The car rolled and the man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.

Drugs intercepted in mail centre operation, Townsville
A coordinated operation examining mail being processed through the postal service in North Queensland has resulted in the seizure of drugs with a street value of over $200,000.
As part of ongoing Operation Detect, which is in partnership with the Australian Border Force and Australia Post, officers from the Queensland Police Service seized articles containing approximately 85 grams of cocaine and one thousand prescription tablets during a Townsville mail centre facility examination on August 30.
From January 1 to date, 86 articles have been seized in Townsville through the operation, the various drugs seized have a combined street value of over $200,000.
The seizures have included cocaine, methylamphetamine, MDMA crystal, heroin, cannabis and cannabis products, opiate-based prescription medication and restricted drugs including Viagra, steroids, SARMS and peptide tablets.

Assault of elderly man, Marsden
Police have commenced an investigation after an 83-year-old man was assaulted and his car stolen from his residence in Marsden yesterday.
Just after 2.30pm, a man has entered the Kim Street residence through a back door.
The man located a set of keys and attempted to get into a vehicle parked in the garage when he was confronted by the 83-year-old resident.
An altercation has taken place where the 83-year-old man was punched and pushed into a work bench.
The man stole the car, a silver Nissan Skyline bearing Queensland registration UGL 111, and was last seen driving away from the residence along Kim Street.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of the car, or who live in the area and may have CCTV footage, to contact police.
The 83-year-old man has been treated for minor injuries.

Update: GBH investigation, Mount Isa
Detectives have charged a man following a serious assault at a Parkside club in Mount Isa on Saturday night.
Around 11.50pm on August 29, it will be alleged a 36-year-old Beerwah man was hit and kicked in the head multiple times.
A 22-year-old Toobanna man tried to intervene and was also allegedly assaulted.
The Beerwah man was transported to Mount Isa Hospital for treatment and later flew to Brisbane on Sunday to receive surgery for a broken jaw.
A 31-year-old Pioneer man has been charged with grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm and common assault. He is due to appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on September 28.

Appeal for information: Attempted armed robbery, Manly
Police are appealing for public assistance in relation to an attempted armed robbery in Manly on August 19.
It will be alleged that at 5.30pm a 17-year-old boy was walking on Cardigan Parade when he was approached by a man who demanded his phone.
The pair have become involved in a physical altercation when the unknown man has produced a knife and slashed the victim’s leg.
The man has run away without the phone and was last seen on Kingsley Terrace, Manly.
The boy received treatment for the injury to his leg at a local medical centre.
