The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal single vehicle traffic crash at Derragun overnight.
Police and emergency services were called to the Bruce Highway at 10.40pm after a man was located unconscious near a motorbike by an off duty police officer.
The officer commenced CPR but the 41-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.

Police are investigating after a man in an electric wheelchair was robbed and assaulted in Kirwan this morning.
Around 11.45am the 22-year-old man was travelling home from the local shops on Kern Brothers Drive when he was approached by two men riding mountain bikes asking for cigarettes.
When the man refused, one of the riders got off his bike, struck the victim in the jaw and stole his wallet.
Two witnesses chased the man down the street causing him to drop the wallet before the pair rode away.
The victim sustained bruising to his face as a result of the assault.
One of the men is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late teens or early 20s, about 180cm tall with a slim build, brown eyes and a moustache. He was wearing a black Chicago Bulls t-shirt with white shorts and red shoes.

New training to assist police de-escalate potentially dangerous situations, resolve active armed offender situations and apply tactical first aid is being rolled out to all 11,500 officers across the state.
The Dynamic Interactive Scenario Training (DIST) is conducted at the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Academy at Oxley.
DIST focuses on enhancing officer’s practical policing skills, decision making and problem solving through scenario based training.
Importantly, Inspector Corey Allen said the training now includes sections on de-escalation and tactical first aid.
“De-escalation training provides police officers with techniques to draw upon in addition to their usual use of force options, with the aim of resolving incidents using the least amount of force necessary,” Inspector Allen said.
“Tactical first aid training gives officers the ability to provide lifesaving care to the public-  and each other – when they encounter serious trauma.

Police have released vision of two men they wish to speak to in relation to an alleged break and enter at Helensvale on June 30.
It is alleged that around 4.20am, a 37-year-old Mackay man was notified via a security alert on his mobile phone that a group of four men had forced entry to a shed at the back of his property, under construction, on Amazon Circuit.
The Mackay man viewed live footage, which was being uploaded in real-time via surveillance cameras mounted at the construction site, of the men allegedly stealing property such as; the surveillance cameras, solar panels and a modem, then relocating to another address where they allegedly consumed drugs.
Following investigations, Police arrested a man at a private residence at Connemara Street, Gaven on July 5.

A man has been charged in relation to the alleged discovery of four tasers and possession of restricted prescription drugs at a house at Coombabah last night.
Around 6.20pm a search warrant was executed at the Waranga Way residence where it is alleged four taser torch devices and a quantity of Viagra and opiate pain medicine Tramadol were located.
A 47-year-old man from Coombabah has been charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a restricted drug and one count each of unlawful possession of weapons and possess utensil/pipes.
He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on August 27, 2018.
Officer in charge of Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrol Senior Sergeant Mat Kelly said information from the public is an essential tool for policing.
