Police have charged a woman after a man had his debit card stolen at the Toowoomba Hospital in March.
It will be alleged that a man had his debit card stolen while he was a patient at Toowoomba Hospital on March 10.
It will be further alleged that a number purchases of a significant value were made on the card after it was stolen.
A 35-year-old Toowoomba has been charged with eighteen counts of fraud and one count of stealing and is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on July 17.

The month of May signifies Domestic and Family Violence Awareness month. Historically, this issue has been one which has been silenced, hushed and considered taboo by many people – it also plagues many communities throughout Australia and the world. Whilst this is not specifically an “Inala problem”, Glenala State High School is using the significance of this month as a starting point to begin raising awareness of the issue, speaking opening and honestly about the issue and by engaging the community of Inala with community service providers.

This year Glenala hosted its second Domestic and Family Violence Symposium, known as “The Inala Says kNOw Symposium”. Almost 200 Glenala State High School students, 13 Ipswich State High School students, 30 family members, 40 community service provider staff members, teachers and support staff at Glenala and over 50 school guests (including QPS executives and officers) from the community all converged within at Glenala State

Two men have died following a marine incident in waters off Magnetic Island this morning.
Police were called to Arthur Bay around 9.30am after the bodies of two deceased men were located in the water near Orchard Rocks.
An overturned vessel was also located at Magnetic Island. Water Police are in the process of recovering the vessel.
There are no suspicious circumstances.
Investigations are continuing.

Minister for Police Mark Ryan and Commissioner Ian Stewart welcomed 70 new police officers and two new police dogs (PDs) to the Queensland Police Service (QPS) after a graduation ceremony was held at the QPS Academy, Oxley campus yesterday.
Graduating as First Year Constables (FYC), the new officers completed 25 weeks of intensive training.
The recruit training program aims to provide recruits with a quality foundation so that they can deliver an excellent service to the community and ensure their policing skills have developed to a level necessary for operational policing as First Year Constables under supervision.
Of the 70 officers, 19 are graduates of the third Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Recruit Preparatory Program. This is a 10 week preparatory training program targeting recruit applicants from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to prepare them for mainstream recruit training. This program is undertaken prior to commencement of the mainstream Recruit Training Program.

Police from the Forensic Crash Unit are renewing their appeal for public assistance in relation to a serious hit and run traffic crash at Bahrs Scrub, in December last year.
Around 7.40pm, Johnnie Walker was on Wuraga Road near the intersection with Prangley Road on Thursday, December 14, was he was hit by a vehicle.
The 63-year-old sustained multiple rib fractures, a number of broken bones, severe bruising, required several blood transfusions and was in hospital for three months recovering. He has not regained the full use of his damaged left shoulder and arm.
Police have released vision of a vehicle, the driver of which may be able to assist with inquires, as they appeal for anyone who recognises the vehicle or has further information to contact them.
Despite a significant and protracted investigation, including a media campaign, no person or vehicle has been identified as responsible for this hit and run traffic crash.

Detectives have charged a woman following an alleged suspiciously lit house fire at Lowood this morning.
Around 8.20am, police and emergency services responded to a house fire in Honeyeater Place.
The structure was extensively damaged as a result of the blaze.
No one was injured with the house being unoccupied at the time.
A 30-year-old Lowood woman has been charged with one count of arson.
She is expected to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow.
