Detectives are investigating a robbery incident that occurred at Capalaba this evening.
At about 6.40pm, a man and a woman driving in a dark coloured sedan along Finucane Road have approached a woman and called her over to the vehicle.
The female passenger grabbed the woman’s purse as the man attempted to drive away, dragging the woman a short distance along the road.
The woman’s purse was stolen during the incident.
The woman was transported to Redlands Hospital for treatment of a number of abrasions.
Police are appealing to any members of the public who may have witnesses the incident or have relevant dash cam footage to contact police.

Update: Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Sunshine Coast
A man has been charged following an alleged dangerous driving incident on the Sunshine Coast earlier today.
Just after 10:30am emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle fire on Mossy Bank Road in Eudlo.
Around 11:00am police observed a vehicle allegedly linked to the fire travelling throughout Beerwah and being driven dangerously.
Officers tracked the vehicle with the assistance of Polair and successfully deployed tyre deflation devices before taking the male driver, and sole occupant, of the vehicle into custody on Roys Road in Beerwah at 11:46am.
An 18-year-old Sippy Downs man has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, obstruct police, enter dwelling and three counts of failure to comply to stop a vehicle, eight counts of driving without a licence and nineteen counts of stealing.

Armed robbery, New Farm
Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a man in New Farm on Sunday morning are appealing for information from the public.
At around 10:30am a man approached a vehicle parked on Bowen Terrace before producing a knife and demanding the car from the male driver.
The man then fled the scene in the car, which was last seen travelling along Arthur Street.
No one was physically injured during the robbery.
The vehicle (similar to pictured) is a 2002 dark blue Audi A4 Quattro with Western Australian registration 1DYG748.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s, with short brown hair.

Drug arrests – Gold Coast
Four people have been arrested and charged with around 14 offences following the alleged discovery of a quantity of drugs including liquid methamphetamine, GHB, MDMA, LSD and other drugs at a unit at Nerang last Friday May 11, 2018.
Around 1.30pm officers from the Rapid Action Patrol executed a search warrant on a Martin Street unit.
Three men and a woman were arrested by police after allegedly locating one litre of brown liquid suspected of being liquid methamphetamine, 500mls of GHB, two grams of ice and quantities of capsules of MDMA, LSD, Lyrisa tablets, Zydol tablets, an extendable baton, a knuckle duster, and an electric conductive device.
Three males aged 45, 52 and 61 years and a 30-year-old woman have been charged with drug offences and are expected to face Southport Court on June 12, 2018.
Investigations are ongoing.

Update: Fatal traffic crash charge, North Stradbroke Island
A man has been charged following investigations into a fatal single vehicle traffic crash on North Stradbroke Island on March 2, 2018.
It will be alleged that around 2am the man was the driver of a utility travelling along Main Beach when another man was thrown from the back of the vehicle.
A 19-year-old Point Lookout man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
A 19-year-old South Brisbane man was issued with a notice to appear on the charge of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death whilst adversely affected by an intoxicating substance.
He is due to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court today.

Armed robbery charges, Logan Central
A man has been charged following an alleged robbery that occurred in Logan Central overnight.
Officers were called to a service station on Wembley Road shortly after 11.30pm following reports that a man had robbed the store.
It will be alleged that a man entered the business and produced a screw driver before making threats to the attendant.
Police will further allege that the man then damaged a glass door before fleeing the scene with a quantity of food including chocolates, lollies and pies.
A man was taken into custody by police a short time later.
A 22-year-old Waterford West man has been charged with one count of armed robbery and two counts of wilful damage.
He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.

Armed robbery, Berserker
Police are investigating the armed robbery of a take away store in Berserker this afternoon.
Around 4.20pm three females entered the shop on Blanchard Street, approached the counter and produced a star picket to threaten a male employee.
The employee fled to a room at the rear of the business and locked the door.
The trio then stole a sum of cash from the register, before fleeing on foot with a fourth female, believed to have been waiting outside the business.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
The females are all described as being Aboriginal and juveniles.
Upon arrival, a number of officers patrolled the area, however could not locate the females.

Assault and drug charges, Robina
Detectives from the Organised Crime Gangs Group’s Taskforce Maxima – Gold Coast, today arrested a Robina man following investigations into an alleged assault earlier this month.
Police investigating the alleged assault of a 29-year-old man at a Broadbeach shopping centre on May 4, in which the man was punched in the face and threatened to be stabbed, executed a search warrant at a Coolabah Crescent, Robina residence around 9am today.
The 48-year-old Robina man, a member of the Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, has been denied police bail and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm (whilst pretending to be armed) and wilful damage in relation to the alleged assault on May 4.
He was also charged with unlawful possession of a dangerous drug (methylamphetamine) and possession of a drug utensil following today’s search.

GBH charge following alleged assault of a police officer, Mount Louisa
Townsville police have charged a man with grievous bodily harm after an officer was seriously injured after allegedly being kicked in the face in Mount Louisa this morning.
Around 8.30am police attended an address on Karanya Street following a noise complaint and were allegedly confronted by a number of party-goers.
It is further alleged as police were talking to the female property owner a number of people began pushing and crowding-in at police, with one man obstructing an officer.
As the officer attempted to arrest the man it will be alleged the officer ended up on the ground at which time he was kicked in the face.
The group then fled the scene.
A 33-year-old male Senior Constable was transported to Townsville Hospital with numerous serious facial injuries, including a broken nose, fractured cheek and a laceration above his eye.
A 30-year-old Palm Island man was located and arrested at an address in Kirwan around midday
