Attorney General and Minister for Justice and State Member for Redcliffe, the Honorable Yvette D’Ath and Assistant Commissioner Mike Condon congratulated officers and staff from the Moreton District who received medals, certificates and awards at a ceremony on Friday, November 9.
The ceremony saw 54 officers and staff members recognised for their outstanding commitment to serve the Queensland community.
Ms Susan Lamb, Federal Member for Longman presented the National Police Service Medal (NPSM) to six officers. This award recognises 15 years of diligent service by members of Australian police forces, defence forces, and members of the ambulance and fire services.

Mr Stuart Forte accepted the NPSM and the Commissioner’s Certificate of Service on behalf of his late father, former Senior Constable John Forte. This was a significant part of the ceremony, given that Stuart’s son, Senior Constable Brett Forte was killed in the line of duty
