Closure of Operation Quebec Venom, Gold Coast District

Police have charged 31 people on a total of 101 offences as part of ‘Operation Quebec Venom’, which targeted the supply of methamphetamine across the Gold Coast district.
To culminate the six-month operation yesterday, Gold Coast detectives executed search warrants at nine properties across the Gold Coast and Brisbane including; Gilston Road, Lutana Street, Price Street, Yarrayne Road and Lawrence Drive at Nerang, Paddington Drive at Carrara, Hoop Pine Court at Advancetown and Browne Street at New Farm.
It will be alleged that at the Gilston Road address, officers located five firearms, around $35,000 cash and a large quantity of methamphetamine.
It will also be alleged that additional seizures during the raids included a significant quantity of diamonds, a 7-metre boat, several motor vehicles, a large quantity of ammunition, steroids and cannabis plants.
Two men were arrested yesterday.
A 36-year-old Nerang man has been charged with 22 drugs and weapons offences.
He is scheduled to appear
