A woman has died following after her vehicle collided with a train in Fredericksfield this morning.
Preliminary investigations indicate at around 10:30am the woman’s car was struck by the train at a crossing on Fredericksfield Road.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 55-year-old Fredericksfield woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No one else was physically injured during the incident.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
