The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing to investigate a traffic crash in which an 82-year-old man died at Toolara Forest yesterday.
Initial indications indicate a sedan was travelling south-west on Tin Can Bay Road when it left the roadway and collided with a power pole.
The Rainbow Beach man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
In the first 200 days of 2018 (until 11.59pm 19/07/2018), 136 people died on Queensland roads, compared with 133 at the same time last year.
