Four teens charged following multiple serious offences, Mareeba to Townsville

Detectives from Townsville’s Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged four teenagers with multiple offences including armed robbery, burglary and evade police following several alleged incidents which occurred from Mareeba to Townsville.
Police will allege an house in Abbott Street at Mareeba was broken into on the evening of January 23 and personal property and a Kia Rio were stolen.
It will be further alleged the vehicle was involved in a petrol drive off at a Mareeba service station, and an evade police offence on Townsville Road, Ingham.
Around 3am this morning the stolen vehicle was stationary on the Bruce Highway at Rollingstone when a car being driven by a 47-year-old woman and her 19-year-old female passenger approached. As they slowed down to pass the vehicle, police will allege two males exited the stolen vehicle, produced a firearm each and directed the woman to stop.
