A national joint operation targeting the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang and specifically aimed at disrupting their criminal activities has resulted in the arrest of six people on 14 charges in Queensland.
Led by Taskforce Morpheus, police from across Australia and New Zealand yesterday joined forces to undertake action targeting the Rebels OMCG. The disruption activities included the execution of coordinated search warrants in addition to intelligence led action, used by police to lay the foundation for future strategic based operations.
To date, six people have been charged with 14 offences, 59 intelligence submissions have been made and three tasers and 240g of cannabis has been seized. Three patched members of the club have also commenced the process of formally disassociating from the club.
