Revellers across Queensland were well behaved as the state welcomed 2019.
Whilst police across Queensland reported a busy night as Queenslanders farwelled one year and welcomed another, revellers at major events throughout the state were mostly well behaved.
There were few policing incidents in the Central Police Region which incorporates Mackay, Capricornia, Wide Bay Burnett and the Sunshine Coast policing districts.
Large crowds gathered at numerous vantage points across the region to watch midnight fireworks and welcome in the new year.
Most policing incidents were minor in nature and related to anti-social behaviour and alcohol related incidents.
