A 50-year-old Tugun man has today been charged following a three-year investigation conducted by the Queensland Police Service’s Financial and Cyber Crime Group in collaboration with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission.
Operational North Sunbound involved an investigation into the Directors of Gold Coast based N1 Homes Pty Ltd.
It is alleged they dishonestly induced victims to deliver over $2.628 million for the construction of houses in Queensland. All victims are from outside of Queensland
The investigation also involved building companies owned by N1 Homes Pty Ltd who were building investment homes and targeting interstate investors.
In September 2015 the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) suspended the building licence of N1 Homes Pty Ltd. Following this action, N1 Homes Pty Ltd went into liquidation and at this time had not completed any of building projects undertaken.
