Townsville detectives are investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted at a restaurant in Rasmussen yesterday afternoon, Sunday November 18.
Officers were called to the Riverway Drive business around 4.45pm after a woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown man in the bathroom.
She was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The man is described as Aboriginal in appearance, around 163cms tall and was last seen wearing a black beanie, dark sunglasses, dark shorts and what is believed to be a jersey with the number 17 on the back.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man at the restaurant or in the nearby vicinity to immediately contact them (details below).
Detectives have released CCTV footage of a man who may be able to assist with their investigations.
