A 38-year-old male constable from the Southern Region who was stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service on May 17, 2016 has had his stand down action revoked and is returning to duty.
The officer was the subject of an investigation concerning the unlawful access and disclosure of information.
The Crime and Corruption Commission served the officer with a notice to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on June 7 to answer two charges – one count of improper disclosure of information, section 10.1 Police Service Administration Act 1990 and one count of misconduct in relation to public office, section 92A or alternatively computer hacking and misuse, section 408E of the Criminal Code.
The matter has been finalised by the Court with the 38-year-old fined $3,000 with no conviction recorded.
