Detectives investigating the violent assault of a 40-year-old woman at Broadbeach on Monday night have released a comfit image as they continue their efforts to identify the man involved.
Around 7pm on August 13, the woman was outside a Surf Parade apartment complex with a man she had arranged to meet when he assaulted her and tried to restrain her.
After a struggle, the woman managed to break free from his grip and sought help at the Broadbeach Police Station.
The man stole the woman’s mobile phone and other personal items before leaving the scene.
The woman received treatment for non-life threatening facial injuries sustained in the assault.
The man, who was not known to the woman, is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, about 170cm tall with a proportionate to solid build, blond hair and green or blue eyes.
