Detectives from the State Crime Command Homicide Investigation Unit, Child Trauma Unit and Morningside Child Protection Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the death of a four-year-old girl at Cannon Hill this week.
At about 9.20am on Monday, Police were called to a Bent Street residence after the girl was located deceased. Later that night a 43-year-old man, the girl’s father, was charged with murder.
The post mortem examination on Wednesday revealed that, at the time of her death the girl was experiencing serious malnourishment, along with many other health concerns that supported sustained mistreatment.
Detective Acting Inspector Chris Knight from the Homicide Investigation Unit wanted to assure the public that this is still an ongoing and active criminal investigation.
“One person has been charged with murder, but we are not satisfied that this investigation is complete and will continue to investigate all circumstances surrounding the death of Willow Dunn,” Detective Acting Inspector Knight
