The investigation into the death of a nine-month-old girl, who was located on a Surfers Paradise Beach on Monday November 19, is now being handled by New South Wales Police Force as it has been established the death occurred in NSW.
Queensland Police will continue to assist New South Wales authorities with the investigation.
New South Wales Detectives have formally advised the Queensland Police Service they will seek the extradition of a 48-year-old man.
