The Forensic Crash Unit has charged a teenage boy following a fatal traffic crash at Dulong on March 27.
It will be alleged at around 11:30pm a car travelling northbound along Dulong Road left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
Emergency services attended the scene and managed to free the alleged 17-year-old male driver from the wreckage as well as the passenger, a 17-year-old girl.
Both were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition however the girl passed away en route.
A 17-year-old Woombye boy has since been issued with a Notice To Appear for driving without due care and attention.
He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
