Body worn vision has been released of an incident at Deception Bay last night where a number of officers were lucky to escape serious injury after a police vehicle was rammed by a stolen car.
At about 7.15pm, police observed a stolen white Subaru wagon at an address in Bailey Road.
When officers parked behind the vehicle, the Subaru reversed at speed into the police car.
Officers were forced to take evasive action as the Subaru continued to reverse into the police car three more times causing extensive damage.
Police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device puncturing all four tyres of the Subaru prior to the vehicle fleeing the scene.
The Subaru came to a stop at the intersection of Cork Street and Flinders Parade where the occupants of the vehicle, believed to be two women, fled on foot and were unable to be located.
