Gympie detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a 31-year-old man who presented himself to the Gympie Hospital around 8pm Tuesday with suspected gunshot wounds.
A black 2005 Toyota Camry with damage consistent with a gunshot round was located in in a carpark opposite the hospital. The vehicle has been declared as a crime scene.
The man has not made a complaint at this stage.
Investigations are continuing.
Police are appealing to anyone with information in relation to this incident, particularly anyone who may have seen the black Camry or heard gunshots in the Gympie area last night, to contact Policelink on 131 444.
